Fontainebleau

Sunday some of us managed to get out of bed despite Saturday's festivities (erhmnot Jen erhm) to go to the château de Fontainebleau about 30 min with train outside Paris. It's a grand castle which has hosted many royalties such as François I, Henri IV, Louis XIV, Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette and also Napoleon.

On the way to the castle, to which you can go by bus or walk (walk!), you cross a beautiful forest, or more like a huge garden with a river. The feeling of freedom and the contrast from big, loud Paris was just amazing.

The castle is beautiful, we even got a private guided tour through the small apartments in which the children usually lived. The luxury, the riches, the lifestyle... The history, it's very interesting and one of the best things is that there weren't many tourists! No stress, just sunny weather, beautiful sights and great company!
