Alexander McQueen

To continue on the note of the previous entry, the morning we woke up and the "fixed" heater was not working. Again. It was freezing cold in our room, and the entire house for that matter... I am now becoming ill. Again. Although I think that is because we woke up with the sun in our eyes once more, the weather has been absolutely wonderful the past days so of course you have to dress to the occasion! This occasion being the commencing of spring! Nevermind the biting briskness of the air......

Mika and her boyfriend Jake invited us to Enrique's place for a Bavarian breakfast, so me and Madeleine, both extremely good morning people when without breakfast, jumped on the bus to Enrique's!
Yes, we cheated, those are pain au chocolates in our hands. In our defense though, I think anyone who knows me is aware of the repercussions of my missing breakfast... Madeleine is the same, so really is was the best for everyone involved... And honestly, the chef was about 45 minutes late so it was more of a lunch then breakfast.... But well worth the wait!

Not the best picture but you at least see the pretzels, sausage and potato salad.

On the balcony at Enrique's, a bit to the left you have the Eiffel tower!

Frog is correcting my homework not actually doing it, I promise!

Next came an interesting class (as always) where Amy fell asleep and, poor thing, woke up with shock when our teacher very loudly threw a question at her!
Finally out of class, Cary came with me home, but first we went on a little shopping spree, a spring jacket from Massimo Dutti (which, by the way, is incredibly cheap here!) and a pair of pants from Zara. Food and wine was our first priority and that's why it was such a pleasant surprise to come home and discover that the stove still didn't work. This is of course afterwards making the preparations for the food. So I ended up cooking rice and lenses in the microwave which worked surprisingly well, and considering how hungry we were the food tasted amazingly!
Energy levels restored and with a class of Côte du Rhone in our hands we could start getting ready for *drumroll* the tribute party for Alexander McQueen (RIP)! No tickets, we were hoping for the best, so we went in to Olle and Wilhelm's apartment in the 1st for a little preparty before heading to the club, le regime. The place was impressive, but... There's always a but... They had probably expected a few more people than the 50(!) who were there, because (don't know if a because is necessary...) it was C.O.L.D as hell in there! The music was good, if it would have been in a lounge, not trying to blow the speakers at a nightclub... The people were gorgeous and very fashionable but the whole atmosphere felt stiff and uncomfortable. So in a whole the experience was very bleak. Me and Madeleine took a taxi to Cary's and got into a warm bed instead and felt rather good in the morning, unlike someone else I know ;)

Time for cleaning, home work and a nap before potentially going out to an erasmus club. Ill, me? Well, my current theory is that if you ignore it, it will eventually get tired of harassing you and leave you alone.... It's working so far!
